Frogs and toads are both amphibians in the Anura order. While frogs have smooth, moist skin and are more aquatic, toads have dry, warty skin and are better adapted to terrestrial habitats. If you look closely at the animal’s skin in the video, you can notice all the little bumps on its skin. Those are the warts. This is the easiest way to tell a frog from a toad.

The main difference that is not behavior-based is that toads are land-bound, whereas frogs can still live and breathe underwater.

Oh, this reminds me of something last summer.
So, while I was lifeguarding at an outdoor pool, some swimmers went up to me and said that there was a frog in the pool. And sure enough, there was one chilling and swimming at the bottom of the pool. So I hopped into the water, scooped it up, and placed it at the nearest creek. That was a pretty memorable day.
