Yes it’s possible, a true proxy will forward all requests to the target server (including websocket packets). I have implemented it for the forum at https://io.codergautam.dev/
Don’t know who made the lurkers.lol link, but you should ask them to fix that. Right now it’s useless pretty much since it’s not actually “proxying” the request.
