in my opinion, tank is better. even though tank is very slow in its hit speed, its attack damage is more so you can kill people easier. also, the slowness can be sort of fixed by spamming sword throws. you can avoid being comboed by evolutions with faster hit cooldown by s-tapping, as well.
however, it really depends on the situation; sometimes beserker can be better.

Tank itself is decent for defense and PVP because of size increase and the healing ability. However, it’s harder to get kills with it because of its slow speed (so sometimes I just stay unevolved until I get enough gold for warrior).
But if you wanna quickly get a quick kill on an inexperienced player that you can’t corner, go with berserker. When tank and berserker were the only two evols in the game, I think many of us opted for berserker because of its offense.
Tank gets chosen a lot now because warrior’s the best evol for securing kills.

Berserker is good in pvp, especially against people who are really good. They can also attack a tank when the player misses his/her hit. Tanks are also for people who are noobs and don’t want to die. Plus, like harsh mentioned, is speedy.
Tank is more fun imo
beserk is cringe but tank is too slow to sweep with so I like beserk
