If it makes you feel any better, I personally thought this update was pretty fun. It was a breath of fresh air from the usual game, and I really enjoyed trying out all the new evols. Sure, it was a bit chaotic with the balancing and all (especially with the OP archers), but you took the time to listen to our feedback and addressed our concerns with all the revisions you made, which made the update even better.
Thanks man hope I can keep working on these evols to fine tune them. Evols are really hard to balance because it’s very hard to test them. Only in game with real players you can have fights against 2 evols so you can see if one is clearly OP.
In game with a bot server where bots don’t evolve it’s really hard to test them, especially with this much evols it gets super hard. That’s why I decided not to countinue the tree system and just mix things up. If I continued it the number of evols I need to add would rise exponentially with every new evol tree.
For example:
1st pick - 2 evols
2nd pick - 4 NEW evols
3rd - 8 NEW evols
4th - 16 NEW evols
5th - 32 NEW evols
30th - 1,073,741,824 NEW evols
…
it adds up fast.
Yea as negative as it was it was still different I just think that people don’t like change it will be a week or so till they get used to it and tbh I liked how the chest’s gold spreads out more than normal
I think 4 evolutions at the start to pick from and then 5 tiers would be enough and you could put a special evol where if you get 50k without evolving you get a better evol than usual.
