We provide free hosting for your games community, where your game can be exposed to a community of over 1.9k IO Gamers and give you options to manage your community in a customizable, monetizable and an SEO Friendly way.

Nowadays, chat platforms like Discord are growing rapidly and most IO Games use this as a way to interact with their community. Using chat platforms comes with a variety of drawbacks, including not ranking in SEO, having a very closed community and minimal options for communication. These are just some of the things we want to address
You can use the IO Games Forum in combination alongside your current setup, and a major advantage is everything is sharable via link. For example say you make an update to your game, and want to share it with everyone in your game. You can easily make a “Topic” which comes with a unique link which can then be shared in your game, Discord, etc. It also allows replies and threads meaning any bugs or glitches are addressed correctly without the chaoticness of a traditional chat system.
We also offer free real-time chat channels for a more fast-pased communication experience, and extensive customizability options to make your community feel yours.
Signing up as a creator and submitting your IO Game is completely free, and we make money buy two thin banner ads on the top and side of the page.
Creator Rewards Program
Soon, we will be launching a creator rewards program where eligible creators can receive ad revenue calculated based on their community engagement and size. This allows developers to earn extra income alongside their game.

Powerful Moderation & Security Tooling
We have a large moderation team that we scale based upon growth of Forums. We use community members for moderation, by a combination of trust and voting system. As users are active and post quality topics, the user’s “Trust Level” will increase and this is the primary way we decide who becomes mod and who doesn’t.
Additionally, you as a game owner will be able to choose specific mods for your community who can take action against users in your section of the Forum.
Requirements
During these early stages of the IO Games Forum, adding games is completely free! We will pay for your hosting and initial community exposure to our large community of gamers, and you will likely see a nice growth in players after registering with us due to our members exploring your game.
We only ask 2 things from you in return
- Link to your customized Forum link in the home page of your game (Example: if your game is swordbattle.io your link will look something like
https://iogames.forum/swordbattle) This link will only show threads and posts made in your section of the forum, and is helpful to boost engagement and build a healthy community of gamers dedicated to your game.
This can be negotiated if you’re not willing to link add a backlink to the Forum. This is mainly for larger games that we feel can build a community without needing an explicit link.
- Ping your existing community (if exists) with your customized Forum link. This is also to help kickstart your section of the Forum with sufficient players.
First reach out to me before doing any of these steps so we can create your customized link.
Approvement Requirements
Note that we do not approve all games, and our review process is on a case by case basis. Here are some key rules we take into consideration when deciding whether or not to add your game:
- Player count (at least 50+ DAUs)
- Game content (must be family friendly, no spammy/sketchy links)
- Update Frequency (must be updated once in a while, not inactive owner etc)
- Target community (mostly teens, young adults)
- Game URL (must be a TLD top level domain, .io preferred, must be fully playable online)
These are to make sure we only add quality games and so that we can build a fun and inclusive IO Game community. We might be able to make exceptions so still reach out even if you feel you might not meet all these.
